Dr. Nichole Bordegaray is a board-certified anesthesiologist committed to delivering safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care. A native New Mexican, she completed medical school at the University of New Mexico and went on to train in Anesthesiology at the University of Miami. She later returned home to join the Anesthesiology faculty at the UNM School of Medicine, where she specialized in operating-room management, perioperative medicine, and pain management.

Throughout her career, Dr. Bordegaray has held key leadership positions supporting resident education and advancing clinical quality initiatives. She has extensive experience across both hospital and outpatient surgical settings, grounding her practice in evidence-based medicine and multidisciplinary collaboration. She has special interest in promoting access to healthcare in underserved communities.

As the Chief Medical Officer of Nexcell Surgical Specialists, Dr. Bordegaray oversees clinical standards, patient-safety programs, and the development of advanced wound-care and surgical-support protocols. Known for her steady leadership and dedication to excellence, she works to ensure every patient receives the highest level of care.
